Bio: My name is Justine and I am a second year MA student focusing on Global History. Specifically, I am looking into queer Irish history. While my wife is originally from Columbia, I am from Beaverton, Oregon (the home of Nike!). We met when I was stationed at Fort Jackson and have been married for five years. We have three pets: Thor (our 95lb Great Dane / Hound), Murray (our smaller 65lb Hound / Beagle), and Asteria (who I affectionately refer to as my Korea cat because I got her when I was overseas in Pyeongtaek, Korea). After graduating next year, I will move to New York to teach African and European History to cadets at the United States Military Academy. The reason I am taking this class is mostly due to Dr. Lekan. I was in his environmental history class last year and really enjoyed it.
